Today

Matthew Pavlov, Attorney

My name is Matthew Pavlov and I am an attorney, a husband, a local advocate, a sportsman and a father to be.

I am graduate of the University of Notre Dame and Tulane Law School and have spent the last several years working for the Denham Law Firm before opening my own practice earlier this year. I am experienced litigator and advocate with ample trial experience. I am a member of the Southern Trial Lawyers Association, Mississippi Association for Justice, the Mississippi Bar and am a certified Guardian Ad Litem. I work primarily in the 5th circuit and in the lower six Mississippi Counties - Jackson, George, Greene, Harrison, Hancock and Stone Counties along with Lamar County.

I am a local. I was born in Biloxi and raised in Ocean Springs. I attended Mercy Cross High School and graduated in 2003.

I attended the University of Notre Dame where I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in English with minors in Anthropology and Medieval Studies. I have applied my love of reading, writing, history and the study of human culture into a well-rounded view of modern life and the law. I take a holistic, aggressive approach to my cases, viewing each as a microcosm of the eternal struggle of right versus wrong.

After graduating from the University of Notre Dame, I returned home, tired of the cold winters, longing for the water and the pleasures of small town life. I spent three years as a teacher and coach at St. Patrick High School. During my time as a teacher and coach, I sharpened my understanding of the family unit, the variance in people's disposition and motivations, and improved my leadership abilities. Coaching football and basketball turned out to be one of the most educational experiences of my life.

Following my brief tenure as a teacher, I attended Tulane Law School. While I enjoyed my classes on Constitutional Law, Evidence, Domestic Law, Civil Procedure etc. it was not until I discovered trial advocacy and negotiations that I found my true calling. Since graduating, I have dedicated myself to becoming an exceptional trial attorney and advocate.

I have spent the last several years of my life working at the Denham Law Firm. During my time at Denham Law Firm, I was fortunate enough to garner ample experience as a trial attorney. I have worked in our local Chancery Courts, Circuit Courts, County Courts, Youth Courts and Federal courts. I have tried jury trials, divorce trials and workers compensation cases.

Recently, I have found my world expanding.  I am a board member of the Jackson County Salvation Army, a member of the Ocean Springs Historical Commission, and am a leader in the Catalyst Chapter of Business Networking International.

Most importantly, I found myself craving more autonomy and opportunity.  Now with the freedom to let my talents and passion flow unimpeded, I am eager to fight for you, your family and your future.
